From Dunfermline and the Forth bridges out to Kincardine, Culross and Kelty.
Kirkcaldy and the towns along the south coast and inland.
Glenrothes, Markinch and Leslie, east to Leven, Methil and Largo Bay.
Cupar and the villages of the Howe, north to Newport-on-Tay and Tayport.
St Andrews and the coastal villages of the East Neuk, from Elie round to Crail.
Most garden rooms fall under permitted development, but the rules depend on your property, the room's size and height, and where it sits on your plot. Planning across the whole area is handled by Fife Council, and it's worth checking with them early if you're in a conservation area — several Fife towns and villages, including parts of St Andrews, Culross, Falkland and the East Neuk, have them.
We'll talk through how your design relates to the usual limits when we quote, and our planning permission guide covers the basics.
